HACKNEY’S PAPER DRESS VINTAGE HOSTS LOCAL ARTISTS

Hackney Central’s popular venue Paper Dress Vintage, owned by Stephen Dix, also doubles as a vintage clothing store. You might feel like there’s a crowd in there when there isn’t, as the favourite East London haunt is lined with clothes rails, sporting a wave of 60s and 70s garments that warm up your spirit, before you grip a pint upstairs to watch a new band.

If you’re familiar with Montrell, new Leicester/London indie rock, then you’ll love the line up on August 6th. Front man Jonny P Taylor will sing in front of five cameras, and no crowd, just clothes. As part of a campaign to save the venues, Montrell and a handful of other artists teamed up with GotoBeat, an exciting new promotion company, who suggest an online donation to contribute towards the venue’s future in this unsettling time. Just tune in, pour yourself a drink and imagine you’re there…
